When a historic build and a sleek modern extension become one, let us introduce you to our latest project. Find an original bluestone city cottage built approximately around 1880 located at East End in the heart of the Adelaide CBD. The cottage will undergo significant restoration, including soil stabilisation and re-levelling existing home, repointing the external bluestone, and installing a new roof, gutters, and veranda.

The cottage will seamlessly connect to a new two-story extension, with a spacious floor plan including a bathroom, laundry, and a custom kitchen that flows into the open-plan living, dining, and outdoor entertaining area. While, the north-facing upstairs living quarters, consisting of a master, ensuite, and study, will soak up most of the daily sunlight via the double-glazed windows.

Despite having challenging site conditions, including a 7-meter frontage on a one-way street, a 900mm side access, and a building on the boundary abutting the existing connected dwelling via a party wall, this contemporary architectural masterpiece has a modest completion date scheduled for December 2024.
